featured in a recent segment
of "Sunflower Journeys" on
KTWU. Leavenworth is the
only city in Kansas that is
located on two byways:
Frontier Military Historic
Byway & Glacial Hills
Scenic Byway.

Fun Ideas

Here's some fun ideas you can use when you bring your group to Leavenworth---

Ask everyone to wear stripes--thumb print everyone before they board the motor coach!!
Ask your local sheriff or policemen to escort your group onto the motor coach.
Make up name tags for every one using a funny name with their last name. Just download this PDF and print on 8.5 x 11 paper. Cut and use for name tags!
Play "Hangman" on the way to Leavenworth.
For a snack, give them bread and water with a small fingernail file under the bread. The CVB has emery board files you may have.
Play songs like "Folsom Prison Blues" or "Jailhouse Rock" on the way. Have them sing along.
Watch the movie "Ernest Goes to Jail", "We're No Angels" or "The Harvey Girls" while traveling to Leavenworth. Ask the CVB if you would like to borrow one, or all, of these.
